Thousands of Adorers in our Archdiocese Need to be Ready of Prayer as Required!

This page was posted to the PJP2EA website on Wednesday July 26, 2006 in the evening. As you read this keep in mind there are literally thousands of adorers in our Archdiocese.

Tomorrow, July 27th, our beloved Cardinal George will be having an operation for bladder cancer. He needs all our prayers. What could be more helpful than prayer before the Blessed Sacrament? But unfortunately the vast majority of you who are now reading this are doing so sometime after the surgery. We should have thousands praying for him.

Last Sunday July 23, 2006 the Holy Father called for a united day of prayer for peace. How many of you now reading this knew of this event?

How many would have loved to have participated in the Corpus Christi processions in our archdiocese but never knew when or where they took place?

Last Lent PJP2EA had an online prayer drive to pray for Cardinal George and the bishops and priests of the Archdiocese of Chicago. The response was meager not from lack of intention but rather from lack of communication. We should have had thousands.

We have a solution.

The Archdiocese of Chicago has literally thousands of adorers with little or no way to communicate with each other. Traditional mail is a costly solution from materials, postage, and labor. Plus it is very slow by today’s standards.

The PJP2EA website is up to date but only for those who visit on a regular basis. There are many times when adorers as a group should be made aware of events as soon as possible and email is the only effective way to do this.

If you register as an adorer for the Archdiocese of Chicago by going to the web link below, you can unite with other adorers from your parish, your diocese and beyond. The site www.adorationservants.org is created and maintained by the same people who maintain pjp2ea.org.

It is a secure site of the same nature as doing online shopping. Your information is private and will remain so. A number of Adoration Chapels around the country use this system to manage their adoration.

One chapel in New Orleans used the system after Hurricane Katrina to keep in touch as the adorers were scattered refugees.

There is no better way for the adorers of the Archdiocese of Chicago to unite and stay in touch. Initially, PJP2EA will manage these registrations but very soon (if not already) your chapel administrators will all be managing these lists.

This is a secure, safe, and wonderfully effective way for us to unite our adoration efforts for the good of Chicago. Please click on the registration link and register right away.
